MENDOZA, ARGENTINA - THE CITY

Hi Everyone,

We arrived in Mendoza and it is such a beautiful city....better than we ever imagined. It is almost all the way back to Chile but we made the decision to back track ´cause we had to be sure to catch the Manu Chao show. The show was absolutely incredible...very energetic and sweaty. The crowd was crazy...non stop jumping and singing. They played for three hours and the venue was fairly small at a rec center. Unfortunately our disposable camera got stolen during the first song so we don´t have any pics of the show itself. We were about 15 feet from the stage and had an amazing view of the musicians...Manu is one of the most expressive performers ever. Such a great experience and it brought us to Mendoza, which turned out to be one of our favorite cities on the trip so far. It definitely gave us the opportunity to switch gears and do some outdoor activities that we´ve been craving. We rented a car and went hiking in the mountains, went river rafting, canopying, and did a couple of wine tours. The rafting pictures will be added later....the rest are below. Hope you enjoy.
