PANTANAL, BRAZIL

We were hoping to see an Anaconda...fortunately our guide, Alex, has some serious balls and caught one in the fields. This thing was like 12 feet long, and pissed! They kill their prey by first sinking their teeth into the flesh, and then wrapping its huge body around it and strangling it to death. Alex said the biggest one he had seen in the Pantanal was 12 meters long (36 feet). This thing was fierce!
