ANTOFAGASTA, CHILE

Hola-

After Iquique, we took another bus down the coast to Antofagasta. This town was pretty dead and not really our vibe, but we made the best of it. Highlights include the Miss Antofagasta Pageant, McDonalds and a Reese Witherspoon movie. Lowlights include the all night construction in our hotel, power outage in the room and plethora of strip clubs (of which none of the employees were of pageant quality -definitely no former Miss Antofagasta's). Still we had some good laughs, but shortened our stay to less than 24 hrs. The Antofagasta page in our Lonely Planet guide has now been ripped out. Peace.
